WSET LEVEL 1 AWARD IN BEER

This is a beginner-level qualification, ideal for those who are curious to learn about beer. It offers an excellent starting point for exploring the world of beer. You’ll gain a basic understanding of how beer is produced, the key beer styles, how to serve and store it properly, and how to taste and describe beer using the WSET Level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting Beer.

Students will taste around 10 beers across a range of styles.

Your learning will be assessed through a closed-book exam consisting of 30 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 45 minutes, and upon successful completion, you’ll gain an internationally recognised qualification. 

You are required to bring an official photo ID e.g. passport, ID card or driving license to sit a WSET examination. Successful students will receive a WSET digital certificate and a pin.

No prior beer knowledge is required.

You must be at least 18 years old to enrol on any of our courses.

The exam and all of our classes are delivered in English; therefore, a good level of English is required.
